Selling Gold and Silver from Delray Beach
Delray estates tend to reach consignment before they reach a metal buyer, which is the right order for some of it and the wrong order for the rest.
No appointment needed. No obligation to sell.
Live metal market
This is the market your offer is calculated against — not a chart printed last week. Your items are tested and weighed at the counter, and the arithmetic is done in front of you.

Route
The trip from Delray Beach
Getting to us
South on I-95 to Commercial or Oakland Park Boulevard, then east. Roughly forty minutes. Atlantic Avenue to I-95 is the usual start and is slow on weekend evenings in season.
What that distance means
At forty minutes each way, gather everything first — including anything a consignment shop has already declined. Declined-for-resale and worthless are not the same thing, and metal content does not care whether a piece is fashionable.
The local picture
Selling gold in Delray Beach
Delray has an unusually developed antiques and consignment trade for a town its size, concentrated along Atlantic Avenue and the side streets off it. Estate property here routinely goes there first, which is often correct — a signed piece, a period brooch or anything desirable intact will beat scrap value on consignment, and we will say so. What consignment does not solve is the rest of the box: broken chain, odd earrings, worn wedding bands, dental gold, and the mixed silver nobody wants to display. That material sits in drawers for years after the interesting pieces have sold, because the shops that took the good items have no use for it.
Selling part of it, and keeping the rest
Consignment on Atlantic Avenue is slow by design — a piece can sit on a shelf for months before it moves, and while it does, the rest of the estate is still in a drawer at home. That is the awkward middle nobody plans for. The vault in our building holds what is not being sold and not being consigned, so the box stops living in a bedroom while the interesting pieces work their way through a shop window.
Florida Intervault is a separate company in the same building, family-run since 1983. Storing anything is entirely optional and nobody at the counter will push you toward it — you are free to sell and go home.

Gold Coins & Bullion
Eagles, Maples, Krugerrands and refiner bars verified while you wait, with anything worth more than melt flagged first.
Explore →
Silver
Bars, rounds, junk coin and sterling flatware tested piece by piece, so a genuine set never leaves valued as plate.
Explore →
Estate & Inherited Metal
Bring the box unsorted. Everything is separated and valued item by item, with a written breakdown for the family.
Explore →
Dental Gold
Crowns and bridges tested for what they actually contain, palladium and silver included, with no cleaning needed first.

Platinum & Palladium
Platinum is easily mistaken for white gold. We test for it specifically and price both metals on their own markets.

FAQ
Common questions
- A consignment shop on Atlantic took some pieces and left the rest. Is the rest worth anything?
- Usually yes, and it is exactly the material we buy daily. Consignment is a resale business and it selects for what will sell on a shelf. Metal value is a different question and applies to broken, worn and unfashionable pieces identically.
- Should I try consignment first?
- For anything signed, intact and desirable, yes — you will likely do better than metal value and we would tell you the same at the counter. Come to us with what is left, or with a written offer you want beaten.
- How far is it from Delray Beach?
- About 40 minutes to our Fort Lauderdale counter, traffic depending. Season adds to that on the coastal roads.
- Do I need an appointment?
- No. Walk in during business hours. If you are bringing a large estate lot, call first so we have the cash and a second tester ready.
- What do I need to bring?
- Valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires a dealer to record every purchase and take a copy of your ID, with no exceptions.
- Can I get a number before I drive over?
- Email photos to info@sygusa.com and we will tell you what it looks like and what the range depends on. A real figure still needs the items on the scale.
