The difference

Why people drive past three other buyers

Tested and weighed while you watch

Your metal never leaves the counter. It is acid or XRF tested, weighed on a certified scale, and the arithmetic is done in front of you. No back room, no "let me check with the manager".

Priced against live spot, not a wall chart

The gold price moves all day. Any buyer quoting from a printed sheet is quoting yesterday. Our offer is calculated against the live market at the moment you are standing there.

Twenty years in the same county

We have been buying metal in Broward since 2004, from two permanent locations. A kiosk in a shopping centre and a hotel-ballroom buying event have a different relationship with the neighbourhood than we do.

You can walk away

Get the number, take it to someone else, come back if it is better. Nobody here will pressure you and nothing gets sent anywhere until you say yes.

Six steps

How it works

Nothing goes into a back room. Every step below happens with you standing there.

01 · Empty the bag

Do not sort or clean anything first. We work through it item by item.

02 · Tested in view

Acid or XRF for karat, with the result shown to you rather than reported to you.

03 · Weighed openly

Certified scale, display facing you, in troy units. Stones and clasps taken out of the weight.

04 · Priced on live spot

The market at that moment, not a chart printed last week.

05 · You decide

Take the number elsewhere and come back. Nothing has been sent anywhere.

06 · Paid same day

With photo ID recorded, as Florida law requires of every licensed dealer.

Send photos before you drive over

Tell us roughly what you have and we will reply the same working day with what it looks like and what the number depends on. A real figure still needs the items on a scale, but you will know whether the drive is worth making.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during business hours at either counter. Call first only if you are bringing a large estate lot, so the cash and a second tester are ready.
What do I need to bring?
Valid government-issued photo ID, and you must be 18 or older. Florida law requires a dealer to record every purchase and take a copy of your ID.
Is a valuation free?
Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it. Get the number, take it elsewhere, come back if ours is better.
How do you decide what to pay?
Purity, weight in troy units, and the live spot price at that moment. The arithmetic is done in front of you so you can see each number.
Will you tell me if I should not sell?
Yes. If a coin carries a collector premium above melt, or a watch is worth more as a watch, we say so before we buy it. We would rather lose the transaction.
Do you buy broken or damaged pieces?
Yes. Condition is irrelevant when something is valued as metal. Bring the tangled, bent and single-earring pile too.

Bring it in, or send a few photos first. Either way you get a real figure and no pressure to take it.
