Who this covers
This site is operated by Sell Your Gold USA, Inc., trading from 3562 N. Ocean Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308, buying precious metals since 2004. It is one of several sites we run for different service lines. This policy governs this website. A purchase, a sale or a loan is governed by the agreement for that transaction, and orders placed on sygusa.com are governed by the policy published there.
What this website collects
Only what you send us through the enquiry form, by email, or by phone.
- Your name and contact details.
- What you tell us about your enquiry — what you hold, roughly how much, and what you want to do with it.
- Photographs you choose to send.
- The page you enquired from and the first external referrer we saw.
- A timestamp, used to reject automated submissions.
What we do not collect here
This site takes no payment and stores no payment information. It runs no third-party advertising or tracking scripts and sets no advertising cookies. Live metal prices are fetched through this site's own domain rather than from a third-party host, so no outside service sees your visit.
Where an enquiry goes
A submitted form is passed to our own automation service and into our customer records system so our team can respond. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with service providers who assist us, with legal authorities where required by law, and in the event of a merger or sale of the business.
Text messages
If you give us a phone number we may call or text you about your enquiry.
Separately, we run an SMS marketing programme that requires you to opt in explicitly. You are not enrolled in it by submitting an enquiry form on this site. If you do opt in, you may leave at any time by replying STOP to any message. Message frequency varies and standard message and data rates apply. We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
What Florida law obliges us to record
Separately from this website: buying precious metals in Florida is a licensed activity. A licensed dealer must record every purchase and take a copy of the seller's valid government-issued photo identification, and the seller must be 18 or older. Those records are kept as the statute requires and are available to law enforcement. This is a legal obligation and no privacy policy can waive it.
Lending records
Where a loan is made, the file contains records of the collateral, its verification, the agreement and the payments. Those are kept as our obligations require and cannot be deleted on request.
Retention and security
Enquiry data is kept as long as needed to answer and follow up. We use industry-standard measures to protect information from unauthorised access, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can opt out of marketing email and texts at any time. To ask what enquiry information we hold, to correct it, or to have it and any photographs deleted, email info@sygusa.com. Statutory transaction records from a completed purchase cannot be deleted on request. You can also limit cookie storage in your browser settings.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes appear on this page with a new date.
