Selling Gold and Silver from Wilton Manors
A short run inland. We see a lot of watch and designer-piece questions from here, where the brand often matters more than the metal.
No appointment needed. No obligation to sell.
Live metal market
This is the market your offer is calculated against — not a chart printed last week. Your items are tested and weighed at the counter, and the arithmetic is done in front of you.

Before you leave the house
- Bring valid photo ID. There are no exceptions to this.
- Do not sort or clean anything. Tarnish does not change the metal.
- Bring the whole box, including what you assume is junk.
- Call ahead if the lot is large so the cash is ready.
Route
The trip from Wilton Manors
Getting to us
A short run inland: Wilton Drive to Oakland Park Boulevard and east, or north on Andrews to Commercial. Twelve minutes on either, and the Andrews route is more predictable in the afternoon.
What that distance means
Worth a single organized trip. If watches or designer pieces are involved, bring boxes and papers if they exist — for some brands the documentation changes the conversation entirely, and without it the piece is assessed on metal alone.
The local picture
Selling gold in Wilton Manors
Around ten minutes east, and a slightly different pattern to its neighbors. Wilton Manors is dense, walkable and has a strong independent retail character, including a real vintage and second-hand trade. That produces two kinds of seller: people clearing an estate, and people who have been buying and trading pieces for years and know roughly what things are. The second group usually wants to talk about spot and purity rather than be told a number, which suits us — that is the conversation we would rather be having anyway.
What Wilton Manors sellers usually bring
Gold Jewelry
Chains, rings and odd earrings tested for karat at the counter, weighed in front of you, priced on the live market.

Gold Coins & Bullion
Eagles, Maples, Krugerrands and refiner bars verified while you wait, with anything worth more than melt flagged first.
Explore →
Silver
Bars, rounds, junk coin and sterling flatware tested piece by piece, so a genuine set never leaves valued as plate.
Explore →
Estate & Inherited Metal
Bring the box unsorted. Everything is separated and valued item by item, with a written breakdown for the family.
Explore →
Dental Gold
Crowns and bridges tested for what they actually contain, palladium and silver included, with no cleaning needed first.
Explore →
Platinum & Palladium
Platinum is easily mistaken for white gold. We test for it specifically and price both metals on their own markets.

FAQ
Common questions
- I know what my pieces are. Can we just talk numbers?
- Yes, and it makes the visit shorter for both of us. We will test and weigh in front of you, tell you the purity, and show you the calculation against the current market rather than presenting a figure with no working. If you disagree with the test we will run it again.
- Do you buy vintage or designer pieces for more than metal value?
- Sometimes, and we will tell you when that is the case rather than quietly buying a signed piece at scrap. Where a piece is worth more intact than melted, the honest advice is often to sell it somewhere that sells vintage retail, not to us. We would rather say that than take the margin.
- How far is it from Wilton Manors?
- About 12 minutes to our Fort Lauderdale counter, traffic depending. Season adds to that on the coastal roads.
- Do I need an appointment?
- No. Walk in during business hours. If you are bringing a large estate lot, call first so we have the cash and a second tester ready.
- What do I need to bring?
- Valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires a dealer to record every purchase and take a copy of your ID, with no exceptions.
- Can I get a number before I drive over?
- Email photos to info@sygusa.com and we will tell you what it looks like and what the range depends on. A real figure still needs the items on the scale.
