What to watch out for
The most common mistake is not knowing the karat. 10k, 14k and 18k look identical to most people and are worth very different amounts by weight. A buyer who tests out of sight can call your 18k piece 14k and you would have no way to know. Ours is tested in front of you.

- Do I need to know the karat?
- No. We test it in front of you. If a piece is unmarked we test it the same way.
- What about stones?
- Stones are not gold and are not paid for as gold. We identify them and can usually remove and return them.
- Is broken jewelry worth less?
- No. It is valued on metal content, so condition is irrelevant.
- What do I need to bring?
- Valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires it for precious metals transactions.
