Selling Gold and Silver from Palm Beach
Fifty minutes south, and the deepest local competition on this list. Worth Avenue, the island's estate jewelers and the auction route will beat any metal price on a piece worth selling intact, and we would rather tell you that than buy it.
No appointment needed. No obligation to sell.
Live metal market
This is the market your offer is calculated against — not a chart printed last week. Your items are tested and weighed at the counter, and the arithmetic is done in front of you.

- Call ahead if the lot is large so the cash is ready.
Route
The trip from Palm Beach
Getting to us
Over the Royal Park Bridge onto Okeechobee Boulevard and I-95 south, or the Southern Boulevard bridge if you are at that end of the island. About fifty minutes from there, off at Commercial Boulevard and east to the beach. The bridges open for boat traffic on a schedule, so the crossing is the part of this drive worth building time around, not the interstate.
What that distance means
Fifty minutes each way, and we should not be your first stop. Have the important pieces looked at on the island and get the figure in writing. Then bring that offer and the rest of the box down in one trip, with boxes, papers and receipts if they exist, because for the right maker they are worth more than the gold is.
The local picture
Selling gold in Palm Beach
Palm Beach is the one area here with a genuinely better local option for part of what a seller has, and it is fifty minutes of interstate away. Worth Avenue and the streets off it hold estate jewelers, consignment at the top end, and access to auction houses that reach buyers no metal dealer ever touches. For a signed piece, an important stone, a period suite or anything collectible intact, that route will beat us, and you will hear it at the counter rather than find out later. The island also empties from spring until late autumn, which compresses the whole business of settling an estate into a few months a year and puts people on a calendar they did not choose. What is left once the good pieces are placed is where we belong: broken, worn, unsigned, unfashionable, the mixed silver nobody wants on a shelf, the single earring whose partner went years ago. That material sits in drawers for a decade because the shops that took the interesting pieces have no use for it. Bring a written offer from anywhere on the island and we will beat it.
What Palm Beach sellers usually bring
Gold Jewelry
Chains, rings and odd earrings tested for karat at the counter, weighed in front of you, priced on the live market.

Gold Coins & Bullion
Eagles, Maples, Krugerrands and refiner bars verified while you wait, with anything worth more than melt flagged first.
Explore →
Silver
Bars, rounds, junk coin and sterling flatware tested piece by piece, so a genuine set never leaves valued as plate.
Explore →
Estate & Inherited Metal
Bring the box unsorted. Everything is separated and valued item by item, with a written breakdown for the family.
Explore →
Dental Gold
Crowns and bridges tested for what they actually contain, palladium and silver included, with no cleaning needed first.

Platinum & Palladium
Platinum is easily mistaken for white gold. We test for it specifically and price both metals on their own markets.

FAQ
Common questions
- An estate jeweler on the island will take the good pieces on consignment. What about the rest?
- That is usually the right split, and the rest is exactly what we buy daily. Consignment selects for what will sell from a shelf. Metal value applies identically to broken, worn and unfashionable pieces. The two routes are not competing, they handle different halves of the same box.
- Should I have things appraised before I sell anything?
- For anything you suspect is important, yes. An independent appraisal is money well spent and it changes how you negotiate with everybody, us included. For scrap and mixed material it is not worth the fee, because the value is weight and purity and both get settled on a scale in front of you in a few minutes.
- How far is it from Palm Beach?
- About 50 minutes to our Fort Lauderdale counter, traffic depending. Season adds to that on the coastal roads.
- Do I need an appointment?
- No. Walk in during business hours. If you are bringing a large estate lot, call first so we have the cash and a second tester ready.
- What do I need to bring?
- Valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires a dealer to record every purchase and take a copy of your ID, with no exceptions.
- Can I get a number before I drive over?
- Email photos to info@sygusa.com and we will tell you what it looks like and what the range depends on. A real figure still needs the items on the scale.

Lake Worth
Downtown Lake Worth Beach runs on thrift, vintage and flea-market trade, and all of it prices a piece by how it looks. Forty-five minutes south is a counter that prices it by what it tests at.

Palm Beach Gardens
Fifty-five minutes south, and the last city inside the fifty-mile line we work to. Retail here is one very large mall and the PGA Boulevard corridor, so the nearest place to compare an offer is usually a mall jewelry counter.
