Selling Gold and Silver from Miami Beach

Forty minutes north, and we would rather be upfront: for a single item this drive does not make sense. For an estate lot, or as a second opinion on a figure you already have, it does.

No appointment needed. No obligation to sell.

This is the market your offer is calculated against — not a chart printed last week. Your items are tested and weighed at the counter, and the arithmetic is done in front of you.

Before you leave the house

  • Bring valid photo ID. There are no exceptions to this.
  • Do not sort or clean anything. Tarnish does not change the metal.
  • Bring the whole box, including what you assume is junk.
  • Call ahead if the lot is large so the cash is ready.

Route

The trip from Miami Beach

Getting to us

North on Collins Avenue or A1A, or Biscayne Boulevard if you are on the mainland side. Around forty minutes, and the causeway you choose matters more than the mileage.

What that distance means

At nearly half an hour, call first. We will tell you honestly whether what you have justifies the drive — for a single light piece it often does not, and we would rather say so than have you make the trip twice.

The local picture

Selling gold in Miami Beach

Roughly forty minutes south and the furthest area we list, which we would rather be upfront about: for most single items this drive does not make sense. Miami Beach has its own dense jewelry and resale trade, and for a piece worth selling intact you are better served locally. Where the trip does make sense is a full estate lot, or a seller who has already been quoted on the beach and wants a second figure from a buyer working on wholesale rather than retail margins.

FAQ

Common questions

Forty minutes seems far. When is it actually worth it?
For an estate lot, for significant metal weight, or as a second opinion on a figure you have already been given. For one ring, it is not worth it and we will say so. Email photos to info@sygusa.com — a two minute message is better than an eighty minute round trip.
Can you give me a firm price over photos so I do not waste the drive?
We can give you a range, not a firm price. Metal has to be tested and weighed to be quoted properly, and any buyer offering a guaranteed figure from a photograph is either guessing or planning to revise it when you arrive. The range is honest and it is enough to decide with.
How far is it from Miami Beach?
About 40 minutes to our Fort Lauderdale counter, traffic depending. Season adds to that on the coastal roads.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during business hours. If you are bringing a large estate lot, call first so we have the cash and a second tester ready.
What do I need to bring?
Valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires a dealer to record every purchase and take a copy of your ID, with no exceptions.
Can I get a number before I drive over?
Email photos to info@sygusa.com and we will tell you what it looks like and what the range depends on. A real figure still needs the items on the scale.
